  • News: What Matters and What Doesn't?

    April 6, 2021  8:00 PM - 9:00 PM
    Webinar Room

Every morning you sit in front of your screens trying to select the very, very best Stocks in Play. You’re looking for the winners. As part of your prep work, you sift through the news. What’s happening out there that will result in volatile price moves? Are there earnings reports, earnings surprises, FDA approvals/disapprovals, mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, a product release? It’s like looking for the proverbial needle in the haystack. There lots of news, and lots of noise, but your job is to find the news that matters. And then, once you find it, you plot your strategy so that you will prosper against the “black boxes”, algorithms and top-secret formulas of the institutional traders.

We’re excited to welcome Luke Jacobi, the Director of Operations at Benzinga, for a discussion about what to look for in the news and what to ignore. It’s nearing 1.5 years now since Bear Bull Traders launched the Real Time Breaking News and Squawk Box Feed provided by Benzinga. Our members have made some exceptionally great actionable trades off this feature. Please join us as we learn from an expert about how we as traders can profit from the news of the day.

  • Game Theory: The Second Mouse

    April 7, 2021  8:00 PM - 9:00 PM
    Webinar Room

Poker players know that when you sit down at a table with strangers, if you don’t know who the source of funds is in the first 5 minutes… it’s probably you.

Trading is like that. If you haven’t seen someone else get stopped out of a trade you could have just taken, then you are probably next.

In this webinar we will explore the mindset and the technical factors that can help us avoid at least the first trap.
