Hello from Top of Mountains

Dear Traders,

I’m nearly finished with my ski traverse from France to Switzerland. Just one more day to go, and I’ll be among those who’ve completed this amazing, world-famous ski mountaineering traverse. We’ve crossed some big mountains, passed through high mountain passes, and over glaciers. It’s gorgeous here!

This is a 7-day, 250km ski mountaineering journey deep in the Alps. I must say, I was afraid of some parts of it. Really afraid. There were big crevasses and exposed couloirs.

Recently, someone commented, and I’d like to share my thoughts.

“Andrew, aren’t you tired of taking such dangerous risks? You’ve experienced and completed many extreme sports trips. There will always be one more temptation calling you to risk your life. If you can be so successful in trading disciplines such as setting a stop-loss and profit target, then you must be able to set a goal for when to stop doing such high-risk sports. Otherwise, your ‘irresistibility’ to these risks is no different from the ‘greediness’ in trading because you don’t know when or how to stop yourself.”

The answer is, life begins beyond the comfort zone. Humans are the only species on this planet that can be fat, lazy, drunk, and high all the time and still survive. Every other species on the planet is fighting every single day to survive, not be eaten, or hunted. Stay fit and move. Life starts beyond your comfort zone.

The reason I like to share my stories here is not to brag about how awesome I am and you’re not. I want to motivate you to keep moving, both physically and mentally. If my story, a man who started from nothing in Iran and became a successful trader and entrepreneur in a completely different world, doesn’t motivate you, I don’t know what can. If an idiot like me could make it, you CAN make it too.

Risk is part of day-to-day life. I try to manage it. I take experienced guides with me, and I use common sense. Even if I die in the mountains, I die where I really belong. Such is life.

One night, at a hut after a long ski day, I saw two 70-year-old climbers and skiers arrive with their guides. Both seemed super rich and fit, and it was obvious they enjoyed their comfortable retirement, climbing, skiing, and traveling the world. I asked them if I could join them for dinner. They invited me and bought me a shot of whiskey too. I asked them how they could stay so fit and active at this age. I admired them and told them I wanted to become like you when I was near retirement at 70.

They responded: ‘Keep moving and never stop dreaming.’

Never stop dreaming! Dream of achieving more, accomplishing more, and experiencing more. It doesn’t have to be about money. It can be anything. I have all the money I need, but I want to experience the life I want. People who stop dreaming are the dead walking among us.

Keep moving, physically and mentally.

Today Brian and Thor recorded another great recap. It seems like Apple and Tesla provided some great opportunities for day trading. Make sure to watch their recap here and comment with any questions you have so they can answer you.
