Mindfulness teaches us to purposefully pay nonjudgmental and accepting attention to the present moment and be aware of our surroundings, our emotions, our thoughts, and how our body feels. By bringing more mindfulness to our lives, we could find a space to notice unhelpful and stressing thoughts and their impacts on our emotions and body, and choose wise response rather than reacting out of habit.
