So Long, 2023!

Dear Traders,

Just as 2022 was a challenging year, 2023 turned out to be a great one. Despite a strong rebound in stocks and bonds, it remained a tough environment for many investors and traders. If you had a great year, take time to celebrate your success. And if it wasn’t your year, remember that no one gets it right all the time – even those who claim they do. Everyone’s journey in the markets is unique, so keep doing you!

Bear Bull Traders and Peak Capital Trading had a strong year. We successfully organized three more bootcamps, featuring a new $50,000 funded training account that saw over 17 traders turn profitable. Participants not only received mentorship support and exclusive webinars, but they also earned some profit from the bootcamp! Next year, we plan to host another three bootcamps in January, May, and September 2024, and I’m excited about it. We organized two major events in San Diego and NYC, which were quite impressive! I’m looking forward to the next one in Vancouver in April 2024, hoping to have over 200 people join us.

We welcomed some new additions to the team. Lenny joined us as a senior trader, John Raffzila as part of the moderator team, and Jared Tendler is now part of our psychology team. Sadly, we also faced a terrible loss, as our friend Bryan W. passed away before Christmas. Trading Terminal is getting better and faster, with major releases, especially the real-time simulator. Building the Trading Terminal is a challenge, but we do it not because it’s easy, but because we thought it would be easy! Brian Pezim published his new book on trading options, and I’m hoping to publish at least one more book in 2024 with Mike and Crede.

Personally, I had an amazing year in both trading and personal achievements. I read 17 books, published three papers with my friend Carlo Zarratini, traveled to many new countries, and climbed some of the world’s biggest mountains. Everest was the highlight of my 2023, marking a significant milestone in pushing myself and developing mental and physical resilience. In 2024, I plan to continue pushing myself, starting with an expedition in Antarctica in January 2024, an ultra marathon running race in the desert in Namibia (May 2024), and possibly climbing more big mountains.

Thank you, everyone, who stayed with us and shared your trading and life journey. BBT really is a family to me. Losing Bryan W. was heart-wrenching, reminding me of how fortunate I am to have you following my journey and to not take anyone for granted. I value our friendship with each of you reading this email, and I look forward to seeing you in person if we haven’t yet.

Keep moving, physically and mentally.

Happy New Year!
