You Are Invited to Vancouver!

Dear Traders,

I’ve been offline for the past few days, and it feels great to have internet access again and catch up on what’s happening in the world, especially witnessing the new highs in the market!

Today, I want to share my experience of moving from Low Camp to High Camp of Mount Vinson. After our stop and rest in the Low Camp, when conditions were suitable and the forecast showed stable weather, our team left the sleds at Low Camp and ascended to High Camp (12,402 ft/3780 m), carrying all of our equipment in our backpacks. The ascent from Low Camp to High Camp involved a 3,281 ft (1000 m) elevation gain and took us around 8 hours to complete.

The route to the northern end of Branscomb Ridge had fantastic views of Mount Shinn and the glaciers below. We ascended fixed ropes on snow-covered slopes up to 45°. This was an amazing experience, and snow conditions varied from soft to hard, with wind-blown icy patches. The final section of the route was very exposed to the wind, requiring us to be very careful to prevent cold injury.

The facilities at High Camp are more basic than those at Low Camp. Our guide prepared simple meals in a cooking shelter, and we ate inside our tent or even outside whenever the weather was calm. We spent the next day resting and acclimatizing at High Camp to have the best chance of summiting. Hopefully next time I will share the summit experience with you.

I almost have FOMO for not being able to trade last week! The week closed with the S&P 500 reaching a two-year high in a significant bull market. Speculation about the Fed initiating interest rate cuts this year boosted stocks, particularly in the technology sector. The S&P 500 went up by 1.2%, recovering losses from the week, while the Nasdaq 100, led by Advanced Micro Devices and Nvidia, closed 1.7% for the day.

Yesterday, Brian and Thor traded AMD. They have a secret that every time they trade together, they make a profit. Yesterday was no exception. They both used Bookmap and were able to make some decent profit. Perhaps that is a sign that I should travel even more often or extend my stay in Antarctica! In the spirit of the S&P 500 hitting new highs, other moderators like Aiman and Lenny also had a positive day.

Lenny traded QCOM when the stock gapped up and was in play with lots of volume. He caught the continuation setup and executed his trade nicely. See the screenshots of his trade below, and please watch Thor’s recap here.

On another note, I have exciting news to share with you! We have launched our next event, and it will be on April 7th and 8th. One of the best parts of the event is that it will be in Vancouver, and you can experience all the beauty that the west coast of Canada has to offer.

Our last summit in NYC was another packed event with traders from all over the world. We even had Avi joining us all the way from Dubai. I love our in-person annual events because I finally get to meet many of the BBT family in person. It’s like a big gathering where friends and family come together, sharing many things with each other.

Our Live Trading Summits are a must-attend community event where you will meet many of your favorite BBT moderators like Mike, Brian, John, and Megan in person and trade alongside them.

Stay tuned as I will share more details about the event upon my return from Antarctica.
Last but not least, if you are still not an annual member, take advantage of our 2024 promotion and join the community for half price. With the Elite Annual membership, you can attend all the weekly webinars, watch hundreds of hours of training, and access all the BBT educational archives.
I look forward to seeing many of you in Vancouver soon.

To your success,
Andrew
